Thought Potential

muted and distraught
yearning to be spoken
one melodic thought
utterly heart broken
           it has but one wish
           just one single desire
           to escape the mental petri dish
           so it may inspire
intelligent conversation
mingled with creativity
deep passionate emotion
expressed poetically
          an ambitious thought
          which perpetually dreams
          of lessons taught
          and creative streams
kept locked and hidden away
in the back of a fearful mind
what would the world say,
if this treasure it could find?
