Though I Find

Though I Find Though I find your years Far too less than mine With a humble smile Catching stumbled eyes Smoothing pillow cheeks As I rest my head Warming blanket arms Tuck me in to bed I can feel your heart Pumping kindness through Like a shot of love With a warming truth As I breathe again Through your lengths of hair In those soft, brown eyes Is a friend; that cares Though I find my years Far too less than yours I realize now I was immature Soothing words define That your love is true As you’re looking past How I’ve looked at you I can feel your heart From across the miles You have taught me love Is to bring a smile Beauty, is deeper Than the skin it holds You have shown me love Our friendship; beholds © 2018 Jeffrey Spencer
