Back again with a "comment on the comment:" Actually, yes, I remember so many women in public laundromats in a neighborhood of mine---not the best, but not the worst either---doing their laundry in curlers (1989 - 1991 on the Far North Side of Chicago, aka West Rogers Park). ~ gw

Far be it for me to judge people who frequent laundromats sporting curlers... but my mother was not one of those. Not as far as I remember anyway, I'm beginning to question my memory. Did that stir any distant or recent memories with you, Gershon? LOL
