Those we love don't go away They walk beside us every day They assure us telling- “Fear not, We’ll abide with you and never desert” They may not gift us with incense, myrrh or gold But their loving assurance makes us bold In darkness, they burn like a guiding beacon, In loneliness, a sweet presence never letting us weaken. When broken, I look up to my Dad and Mom Their prayers from above make me calm. I am sure, their love won’t part from me. Their blessings make me swim across the turbulent sea. Rich, I am with a treasure that never ends— Nothing beats the love that comes from true friends. Like the early rays of morn, they fill me with joy Like the dulcet notes of a flute, they make me enjoy. Our friends, a chosen crew who walk with us along life’s shore. Their love, a strong thread, saving grace and an open door. Their presence, a lingering scent, a life sustaining breath. They stay on, activating and energizing us till our death.

Superb interpretation of the theme, dear Valsa. Where would we be without the people we love and who love us unconditionally, no matter our imperfections? Your writing beautifully encapsulated the essence of bereavement, the positive aspect of loss, and the eventual silver lining. You had such a lovely rhyme system, Valsa. Your remarks regarding the closeness and affection shared by friends deeply touched me.

Valsa, this is such a tender and soul-touching tribute to enduring love—both from family and cherished friends. Your words flow with grace and emotional truth, reminding us that those who love us never truly leave. The imagery is comforting and luminous, especially lines like “a guiding beacon” and “a strong thread, a saving grace.” A beautiful and heartfelt reflection on love’s eternal presence.

Your rhyme scheme flowed so beautifully, Valsa. Your words about the kinship and love between friends struck a chord with me. I also can identify with your words about 'mom and dad.' wishing you a pleasant evening, Sara

Awesome take on the theme Valsa. Where would we be in life if it weren't for those we love and who love us back, flaws and all?
