I do not like gnats much either... Did you realize that 'gnats' backward is 'stang,' for what it's worth. Keep smiling, gw

Gershon, It was actually what we call a fruit fly. They are so aggravating here in the summer and fall because we bring produce from the garden into the house which they come in unnoticed then become a nuisance. That is an interesting word stang. It can mean sting, to ride a rail and pang (a sharp piercing pain or emotional agony). We could use that one in our poetry. Thanks for the visit. Sara

Victor, We have mosquitoes here as well but they are worse some years than others. I can't go outside at all when they are really bad because they just love to eat on me. I appreciate the comment. Sara

Guess they don't like coffee, should have stayed around and read your poetry. Love this Sara, you make an ordinary situation, so poetic.

Why, thank you, Harry. On ordinary days we need to come up with something. It was just an ordinary day. Your comments always are uplifting. Sara

Sara, your imaginative writing was enjoyable to read. Be on the lookout for gnats, especially at this time of year, because you never know what they might be hiding.

Sotto, We bring in produce from the garden and now some pears from the orchard, with those comes those gnats or fruit flies. They are so aggravating. Spraying doesn't get rid of all of them nor does swatting them. LOL..Thanks for the kind words. Sara

Too bad gnats are not like lemmings! Enjoyed! Aloha!

Gnats are very "housebound"; I know of a pueblo ruin unlikely to ever be excavated or looted because gnats by the millions will dine on anything coming to the doorstep! Aloha!

Rico, I guess if it died in my coffee, I could turn around and cook it for lunch if it were a lemming. LOL..Sara
