Those Moments I Hold

those moments i hold
when love held me
jewels that adorn my memory
some are of you
others are lodges far deeper
a populated field of young
wannabe future all-stars
filling a sandlot full of future
where wild horses reign free
you lost in hugging the dog
the cat cuddles up next to you
even deeper those pigtails
the temptation before me
how else do you tell them
I have it bad for you
which I had perfected
the moment I saw you
that instant love brings you
into its' sweet embrace
and so I measure life
as such
these jewels within memory
and nothing in life may intrude
bitterness stands as an anathema
before Grace
I give no quarter to resentments
because I have no expectations
wherever life takes me
this is the only bag I carry
love's sweet embrace
life is a miracle
deserving a devotion of gratitude

So sweet and highly inspiring ! Life is a miracle deserving a devotion of gratitude, where there is no room for resentments ! The only bag you carry is love's embrace. You are never ridden by desires or expectations. With a light baggage, you get ready to travel as far as the road takes you ! Happy is such a man. Love your poem dear Timothy !

This reads for me as a poem Absolutely Inspired! You can tell me that you edited it for 3 days, but I won’t believe you. A heaven sent work, spoke for me too, but i was in ballet class not sandlot. Thank you for writing this. Standing applause! Cheers! God bless you! xox sally

thank you Sally....you are a wonderful part of my life reminding me of why and how we pray for those facing hard times in health...i begin with them, then pray for those closest for hope, acceptance, and strength in this endeavor....then I pray for the medical community who must care for this endeavor....i know their burden having been one...in a bathroom crying praying for God to fill your heart with acceptance

Bitterness destroys from within. Like a worm in an apple. It takes a lot of faith to have no expectations. It leaves room for things to flow to you naturally. Gratitude adds grace to living. I really love this poem. So much I relate to. Added to my Favorites List. Hugs, Pix

thank you Rose....that is what my front license plate says...had it specially made as a daily reminder....a grateful heart keeps one away from becoming a hateful heart...i occasionally watch Pollyanna....and still to this day embark on the Glad Game...if you Google the woman who wrote it you will find a treasure trove of her wisdom
