Those Falling Leaves - Chanso

Falling dying leaves I sometimes wonder Whether a tree grieves Wonder at touchdown Of leaves in autumn Soil gains leafy gown Autumn I adore I must wrap up warm Cold winds I abhor Warm hues, gold and red Leaves twirling from trees One brushes my head Trees in the oak wood I kick through crisp leaves Fresh air does me good Nature’s true beauty Viewed when off duty

I copied Kim's Petrichor example but for the contest i dont think you have to use the last word from the second line for the next stanza, i think she just wants consistency of syllables and rhyme. hugs jan xx

A strange format, Jan (to me, anyway), but you’ve created a lovely poem. I especially like your first verse…

I have to say it's not been my favourite challenge lol. i copied Kim's format from her Petrichor poem where she used the last word from the second line, but i don't think its something i would do again. Hugs jan xx
