Those Calls and Recalls

They came in a flurry Was it desperation? Or Was she really in a hurry? Wanting to connect to someone She loved so dearly... The man Now recalling those moments Tries hard to understand Her raging passion and desire With no less a burning fire Bordering not so much On physical intimacy As the unyielding temptation To chat, to talk, or merely to see Each other Over distance far, far, and farther Now as he recalls Those frantic calls He understands her better And comes out a quiet resolve “I’ll make her officially mine How difficult, no matter.”
