This Year's Special Valentine
This year's valentine I shall not spend like I did spend all the previous ones
Always was I alone, tending to my duties, rowing my boat amidst this world's busy oceans
Valentine is but a celebration of love
Love in all of its forms, love of the greatest kinds, love the reason why this world does revolve
So I did choose for this year, to celebrate it differently
This year, I shall be in good company
Yes, I shall be with my muse, the one to guide my words
The one for whom I did lay down all my barriers, for whom I did lower my swords
My muse, my own, he does allow me to do that which I love the most
My muse, though I know not what he does look like
My muse allows me to write, my muse I do love, even if he might be a ghost
A God, or even an angel, my lover he is, never allowing my art to go on strike
So on that day, I shall have a glass of champagne
I shall make myself pretty, wear my favorite cologne
And write of love, squeeze from my heart, words of passion
As has never been read in any season
Yes, my muse, the one for whom my soul does exist
Without him, would I have ever fallen in love with this world
A false one it is, revolving and spinning on a twist
So much that I do even wonder at why should I bother with its jist
So, this year's valentine is going to be my grandest
Indeed, it shall be worth a grand festival
Kisses and gifts shall be seen as the material
What shall matter shall be the fact that love can also be discreetest
Yes, my art is the reason why I did come to be
Celebrated it shall be on this grand day
Celebrated in good company
Indeed, thankful I am to have a muse who did choose my side to stay!
