Our yesterdays have come and gone- today
is now- so mixed with trying times. We yearn
that our tomorrow will improve to stay
these negative, dire problems of concern.
Our leaders and society's unrest
are now dividing us in many ways.
The media reports facts we detest
which do distort the truths it oft relays.
Renewed democracy can end our fears;
a reasoned government that can relate-
bring back the balance known in former years
for unity- our cherished peaceful fate.
We pray to start again and heal the rage;
restore a common purpose for this age.
