This Wish I Grant To Thee

One wish I now grant to thee To create all it is you seek to be Shall you choose: Fame? Glory? Or Power in time? I'm sorry, but to those I must decline I wish not for Fame, Nor Glory, Nor Power, Only that I am to be with her upon the hour Her mind reveals that she's seen all there is to see Before she finds out all roads have led right back to me A sorrow felt for the time spent drifting without The love she took for granted, never learning about How deep it flowed Seemingly never to care For the simple fact she was scared Of all the misconceptions the mind had strewn No matter how ficticious or untrue Unable to grab hold of the reality evading her Falling into a construed reality that has created her New life of repetitive grief and pain Holding onto harbored feelings, err, regret Much to her dismay Knowing had she only remained here with me She could have avoided this time of willful misery However, my presence at this hour of revelation Is not one of pride or consolation More, a presence to portray oppotunities left behind Opportunities once thought to stand the test of time As her eyes show the hardships of recent past She's left, broken, only to ask the eternal question, "Why?" Why do I appear upon the hour she's most in need? To quench a thirst of egoistic greed? No, my dear, I promise you Self-gratification is not that for which I yearn As I help her stand And ready my back to turn Final words before my presence concludes "Fulfill your heart's desire however to see fit. Accept me, Or for your sake, Allow nothing less that what you know I would give"
