This Universe

In the middle of the universe I stand All alone on a quiet, desert night Looking up at brilliant, desert stars Shining along the Milky Way. And in this universe, where I stand I see the moon illuminating the sky Constellations in their patterns Hidden planets in their spheres. And as I stand in this great universe Contemplating the wonders of the night I know that just as surely as I live In my heart of hearts, I am not alone. For I am seen by the One who created This universe, in which I stand Who made the heavens and the earth He is the great I AM, who created me To BE In His great universe, where I stand. nice write...long long ago i lived six months in the desert...can never forget the nights...flat horizons splitting a sphere in half...down was dark up and was starlight...mind boggling

Wow, this is great. Even though we are no larger than a grain of sand in this whole universe we know He still loves us. Great expression. I live in the country away from light pollution and enjoy watching the sky at night. Oliver

I love the whole, "Where I stand" part. We all stand in different places in life. No matter where that is, we can look up and He's the same God of the universe. :)
