This Time Last Year

Lord as I reflect upon the last year of my life
Filled with uncertainty anxiety and strife
I can't help but think about your mercy and your grace
Staying right beside me through each treatment that I faced
When I became so distressed and I thought you weren't there
You were before your Father's throne lifting me up in prayer
I just want to thank you Lord for not giving up on me
And I praise you that you have seen fit to make me cancer free
I ask you Lord to use me in any way you will
As I bask in your presence your purpose to fulfill
Thank you Lord once again for bringing me safely through
All the praise and honor I humbly give to you
Amen

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

Barbara - Thank you so much for your kind comments. You don't know how much I needed that. I know God saved me so I can continue to write what he gives me to share. My dog is a big part of my recovery. She never left my side when I went through the chemo & radiation and mastectomy. I got her 4 years ago 1 day before my mom died of Alzheimers. She is a blessing and a half. Her name is Daisy. Thanks again. Feel free to share.
