This That and the Other

Is it wrong for me to hate us ?
Us, meaning humanity
Is it wrong to wish for our demise
Is it wrong to hope for the end
To finish the story
To see if the injustices will be answered
Will we truly be judged
And if so
Will it be fair and impartial
Will the punishment fit the crime
Or will it be nothing, as everything else is…………..
Do you know ?
Or more important, do you care ?
What have we achieved thru living ?
What do we really do to fill our days
If you really look at it
All we do is find things to occupy ourselves
Keeping the illusion alive that we are free
Whether it’s right or wrong, doesn’t matter
We just do this that and the other
You know as a species we are rather funny
Greed driven and addicted to money
Herded like cattle and baited like fish
Always wanting more, always with a wish
Sick as it sounds
But the green paper forever bounds
From the very young to death
An addiction that we are taught
Our lives forever bought
A vicious circle
Follow me ?
Sorry I doubt it
