This Rhyme
There is this rhyme
I've had for some time
Bouncing around in my head
And just when I
Think it's ready for flight
It buries itself instead
Running this course
Of back and forth
Often thought but never seen
Like the words to a song
Forgot long ago
Only humming the melody
I think over time
It's added words to it rhyme
Expanding what it has to say
But what good does it do
When it never let's loose
Enough to see the light of day
Only giving a taste
Of what it has to say
Never taking that final step
As my guess is this rhyme
Will stay for some time
Bouncing around in my head
