This Path

Sometimes they call me a sinner,
some days they’re in love with my name.

I understand that I was winning,
until I tried to cheat in the game.

Well really, I just bent the rules,
because I’ve always played with flames.

Then the touch of one had burnt me,
to the feel of a brand new pain.

I just wanted thrills and more,
I just needed stars and fame.

Then the taste of a kiss from darkness,
came through and brought with it rain.

Now the knife is twisting slowly,
but I somehow love the pain.

Because the fuse was short to start with,
and I can get healed this way.

Now I see through a clearer mirror,
hear the path that lies ahead.

I will win in the end and you know this,
with a stronger mind and focus.

So,I will keep my faith,
when I start the ascent.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
