This Particular Day
You could hear the chili peppers
bass line
four blocks away
naked he sat in the middle;
he wasn’t the most sober
person on this particular day
his life was almost over;
had not a care of cares.
Their stares
punctured a hole
right through his soul;
born in the wrong time
he was
a unique character
shunned by society
unique;
a good kind-hearted
soul
he couldn’t get
the time of day.
