This One Is For You Sis

WE HAD A SEAT MY SWEET AMONG THE WILLOWS LEAVES WJICH, WITH DETERMINATION, STILL CLUNG ‘tis a marvel to behold Quite so much to e’re be sold Brilliance dipped into oils of a legacy The artist saw the starry night and wrote about what he observed Rendering roses and daffodils With hills perfectly curved And there are scenes all around you with just as much spiritual inspiration So all I am asking you to do is allow Van Gogh to guide your pen with oftentimes exasperation Yet and still it’s worth it when you’ve written a painting wrought with glorification Let ink think for you and follow it’s lead to that which you are so adept to do that’s all I’m asking you do to Dali took some old trees long since dead and draped a melting clock over some threatened bark And made a mystery of his mark As did he take the day and destroy the image of what is and what could be That’s what Dali did for me He took my mind and combined words into colors I’d never heard before And as he took his talent for so much time as which he required That is when, after his golden moon commanded, ‘twas only when genius retired A clock of gold surrounded by greens, reds and blue That’s all I’m asking you to do Make your words as close to different as you can because almost every artist of depth will tell you that everyone’s art varies Take thy pen of universal belief and scribe that which your majestic eyes dictate Accolades are not required for a poet whose soul belongs in everyone’s poems Nay, ovations are not the prize but a bow or a curtsy is and there’s really is no rendering to sketch and style that is anywhere near new So all these things should be second nature to you If it’s inspiration you seek I beg you to thusly open thine eyes And as far as those eyes can see is inspiration glorious and galore Your eyes begging to view even more Whatever you are doing, whatever calliope of madness you may see Draft away those drifting thoughts and clear your head until there’s only you so free And then put pen to patient paper because I know the unquenchable desire is buried forever into you And hat’s all I am asking you to do © 2011.…Phreepoetry ~free cee!~
