This ol' pen has seen many of things And I've seen mere words come to life I've written things that made folk think But my ink is running really low I'm about to reach my twilight hour But I have no regrets and each word…… I ever wrote will live on after I'm gone 5-7-19 Alexis Y. *Stay to see, to read, to write many more *Spill more words on Poetry's golden floor *Walking new trails into forests pristine* * Amongst rolling hills,so verdant green!* My friend , as I look at my twilight hours, I look away and look back at memories that give cheer and some that cause regret. We are born- we die. It is the in-between that we may choose to shine. Love ur poem--a fave..

Your twilight hour? I have always pictured you age 28, twenty-nine and a half tops. What is your poetry hiding? LOTS apparently!

Hi, Alexis. Very nicely written, one of the reasons I started writing was so that my descendants three or four generations down the road will have an idea of the person that I was. Hopefully, my words will live on. All the best my friend. John

The wonder about what we do (writing of course) is that the words live on forever. Nicely penned offering my friend

Honestly, I wasn't looking for this; found it 'accidentally' in 'Unread Poems' --- and now am greatly flattered and humbled, and trying not to let false modesty prevent me from being glad that I have, this once, served as inspiration. Thank you for mentioning, Alexis! Best wishes, Gershon
