This Morning I Win

"Morning is here,
I know there is nothing to fear

About the day which will unfold before me,
I have seen it many times guaranteed

All surprises I will handle,
For I am a strong and independent damsel

For I have fought my own fights,
All of my life

I have never depended on anyone,
Or even tried to outrun

A problem or demand,
I have settled everything with my own hands

Which have never been tied,
Or compromised

Family has always been first,
Because roles were reversed

Circumstances required I step up,
Because behind me there was no back up

It is only me to challenge today,
And I will not let it betray,

Me, for what I need,
The vision and desire to succeed

So come on morning I am ready for you,
But be prepared, for you are gonna lose

For I am too strong to fail,
Having endured life’s travails

I can only win,
From my determination within.
