This Island
This Island
The sun is shining ever so bright
The wet grass is glistening with delight
The rain has come the rain has gone
The birds are chirping their sweet song
Then all of a sudden the wind will blow
The sky gets dark, storm clouds begin to show
Its fun to watch the rain fall on the river
You get a chill, you start to quiver
You watch the river getting high
You watch how swiftly it flows by
The tourist now all run and hide
We know better we just let it ride
Life is beautiful over here
The sunsets and rainbows ever so near
And before you know it the weather will clear
Yes this island is so..so dear
