This is me

If screaming that you hate me brings peace to your spirit,
then it's okay.

Even when I know those words don't belong to your heart.

I have made mistakes in more ways than I can count,
yet I'm still surprised that you're here,
still choosing me.

So tell me, what's your plan?

To love me forever, like the promise you made and never broke? To hold my hand through every season and call me home when the world grows cold?

You're a part of my soul, a piece of me that felt forbidden in the eyes of strangers, yet perfectly written in the eyes of heaven.

I owe you every love God poured from the skies.

I owe you every kindness,
every sacrifice, every late-night message that arrived exactly when you needed them.

I owe you every moment you believed in me when I struggled to believe in myself.

I wish there was a way our parents could know each other like siblings,
so we could skip the waiting,
skip the distance and start building the life we dream about.

I can't wait for the day they celebrate us,
the day our names become one story,
and our love becomes a testimony.

I haven't made it, if I haven't made your day.

I'm not a rider until I've learned how to drive your pain away.

And if life is a journey,
then I want to travel it with you,
through every storm,every sunrise,
every unanswered question.

Lead us safely toward heaven with your angel ways.

This is me
flawed but sincere,
imperfect but faithful,still learning,
Still growing, still loving you with every breath I take.
