This History of Love
It may never have been that easy
It may never have been that clear
The whys and wheres of the meaning
Time controlled year on year
To see behind did have some meaning
Though the journey was never without tears
The history of love we made together
For us will never disappear
We go ahead together forward
But now the going’s slow
In the darkest times you never leave me
This one fact of life I know
