This Friend of Mine
I think of all the many times
i didn't even have a dime
I'd reach out to the one I know
this friend of mine I love just so
her friendship has the strength of both
giving us such a special hope
she's the only one to who
i share a tale of woe or two
this friend on mine is very sweet
someone who everyone should meet
she doesn't mind a late night call
or shopping at a distance mall
when I have some awful doubts
she's there to listen and help me out
this friend of mine for many years
has shed with me a lot of tears
just in knowing she's my friend
is something I know will never end.
