This is funny! I love this poem. I personally think that alimony is kind of stupid in the fact that you don't want to be married to this person; but you want money from them?! I could see it lasting for about six months to a year but after that the money bank should be closed. Also, congratulations on getting featured this week. Well deserved.

Why wouldn't you want to be responsible for supporting yourself, and why shouldn't that be the law?

The best answer to that question is, "It depends..." Actually, that's the best answer for just about any question. At least it's a "thought gathering" stall LOL. Congratulations on having your poem featured this week, Veronica. And keep the questions flowing! Lovingly, Dane

You would think people would want to work to get a better life than existing on others. Interesting perspective in this poem for the reader to ponder about. Congratulations on having it featured. Keep on writing! Karen
