This Day

This day

For every second that I took a breath
put a distance between me and death
For each minute my pulse throbbed
I never felt like I've been robbed

I've seen the bad, ugly and the good
Yet day by day I had my plate of food
I've been up then down, even broken
Still my faith in life was never shaken

Thank You for another glorious year
Never more than my soul could bear
I live and hope that our children will last
A lifetime longer, and still have a blast

This birthday message I wrote just for me
It's my wish that I will still live to see
Many more beautiful years, all blessed
And I share this wish with all my beloved
