This Castle Built On Sand

This castle built on sand wouldn't stand the wind of the bay, or the waves anyhow... It wasn't built in a minute; it took many days to erect it from the earth... Ah, real trust starts in the eyes! Wouldn't a lie tear down... this castle built on sand? Untrustworthy eyes of Eve, temptation ends here; no desire I will grant now... A castle is a fortress to guard love's sweetness, and defend it from your lies... Step on the serpent which creeps, take away those lips; I would like to live, not die... This castle built on sand, was made by a dream; not by hands fearing the sea... Copyright 2009 by Andrew Crisci
