Thirty six days of hunger, today'

It struck me to the core when I heard about, the stand they are making..'
And the dismissal from (drainstream media) speaks of politicans quaking..
In Dublin before the Dai'l you'll find this
Gallant four.' Who are seeking recognition
For injustices of yore.' They know the pain
They've lived the grind. Of 'that institutionalised hell' dressed as benign
Intervention it never worked or aged that
Well, though fifty years have passed
Away.' Still nightmare shadows cling.'
Fluttering like the somber robes, that framed those that did such wicked things'
And the Dai'l today, attempts to smother?
The efforts unyeilding and brave, of these
Four survivors, who face the very grave.'
And not just for themselves alone' no
Their actions are aimed much; much higher..They want old a'herns promise
Made good, for by the devil; wasn't he a
Liar..' but there are many in the Dai'l today
Surely men and women.? Well found.' Who
Will take their cause to their very hearts so
That Eire.. Will know that its for justice they stand.' So all may say our lands to
Be mended at last 'to be sure.!'

In the 20th century, hunger strikes were used repeatedly by republican prisoners, including a major strike in 1923 involving up to 8,000 IRA prisoners protesting continued detention after the Irish Civil War, during which three men died. Another notable hunger strike occurred in 1981 at the Maze Prison, lasting until October and resulting in the deaths of ten prisoners, including Bobby Sands, who was elected as a Member of Parliament during the strike. That strike was a response to the 1976 withdrawal of special category status, which had been granted after the 1972 strike. What is going on now, Joe? Press has been quiet over hear.

These people were in Industrialised institutions..Working no worthy pay abused And now kept on the streets..To make way for the overwhelming wave of forced immigration..They are not just striking for themselves..But Ireland.!!!
