Thirsting For Her Freedom
She’s going away on a vacation!
The anxious train awaits her at the station.
Flight, is plainly not her thing.
She doesn’t want to perish,
And in pieces to God, her body bring?
It is time to leave her family behind.
Those who care for her and are so kind!
But they need not think of her anymore.
Bags, packed, she stumbles out the door.
Her vacation train leaves at past four.
It’s been decades since she has been free!
Actually, to her, seems like an eternity.
And what of her poetry, what will she do?
Stop all the pondering and enjoy life, too!
Will she let others know how she is doing?
I think, for once, she will be out wooing!
Romance, ah, bring it back to her in bundles!
She has been to her family, nothing but troubles.
Her Father in heaven, will watch her every step.
He has, since she the moment she was born,
And that is, my friends, as good as it gets!
Bid her farewell, give back her wings, oh!
She’s dying for adventure, it runs in her blood.
Or...did you simply refuse to know?
