Thinking About Angels

Thinking About Angels Here I am thinking about angels, guardians in the sky. Funny thing: grief. Well maybe ‘funny’ is the wrong word. ‘Volcanic’ ‘Annihilating’ ‘Illusionary’ ‘Pulverizing’ ‘Instantaneous’ ‘Gasping’ ‘Forever’ is the kicker. Here I am thinking about angels, guardians in the sky. There are those who do not believe in angels, the same people don't believe in faeries or unicorns either, they are missing so much. Grief is so much more bearable if it can be borne on angel's wings. Another Collins 'unique.' God Bless You! Keith

Ah there just Germans dressed up like people... :). Those damn angels don't see my cause. Maybe you trade them in like baseball players. Now wouldn't that be ironic? Love this Kilmer

Kilmer - Ah yes the angels. I cannot say how funny this comment is right down to the Germans. You pulled it out of the celestial crossed wires of my mind into coherent (did I say that?) language. xxx's ooo's.

Deeply philosophical... your choice of '...' words hits the nail on the head. Only a person who has experienced grief could have written this... Love, Keith

Depths of your sadness in this one. Have hope, dear. I really like the way you began and ended this one on the same note.

Hope can be elusive and sometimes we just draw on the past to find it.

If there are angels watching over us, then the ones watching over me have taken a trip out of town. Good write.

Well my friend, you already know how well I identify with this gem of yours...Absolutely LOVE the way you opened with the first verse and closed with the same. 'Illusionary' is the key word for me...If you like check out 'The Mourning After' which is my latest about my son and by the way, this is going to my fav poems and PLEASE consider becoming a premium member...

Dearest Tim, kindred spirit, I re-read "The Mourning After" and felt the shock all over again, right there before me on paper. Each verse overwhelming. That "basking in sympathy", after the party's over journey into the pit is something I've never heard anyone express. I identify with every single word. I am sure that is your son in the avatar (what a crazy word). Handsome boy, that Danny.

Well chosen words used to describe the depth of loss Kathryn. We always regret those last unspoken words, but I believe we can still be heard after passing.

Grief is definitely all of those above words..Forever is hard very hard..Enjoyed reading your very descriptive, emotive and expressive work.thanks for stopping by my work about the fish..I wish that I had had the fish tank when my children were young..That would have helped with the discipline..(I did let them have nights to choose a program)..Sara
