Think About Joy
THINK ABOUT JOY
Think about joy or deep happiness.
How do we attain and maintain it continually?
Even in the midst of life’s storm
or going through adverse circumstances.
Think about the people we know,
who are truly happy like a joyous child.
There would only be a few or a handful.
For most are only happy, joyful when
things go their way, get what they want.
They associate joy and happiness
with success, possessions, prestige.
They sink and worry when they have less.
Think about the people, who have them all,
or the people, who cannot get what they want.
They are unhappy wanting somebody else’s life,
wanting more and more or feeling miserable.
How do we find joy, happiness every day?
Is there such? Joy, happiness continually?
Yes, accepting, knowing and loving oneself.
Knowing one’s strengths, gifts in form
of talents, capabilities and sharing them.
Knowing one’s flaws and weaknesses
and accepting and working on them.
Not paying attention to other people’s
opinions for knowing oneself well.
Being grateful for what we have and
accepting our circumstances as they are
or what life brings us and thanking each
day for each day is a precious gift.
Receive each day with joy, listening
to a birdsong or looking at the golden
sunlight and show acts of kindness.
Peace, contentment and happiness
or joy continually or in continuum
are decisions and it is up to us to decide.
