Think About It

The English language is full of contradictions And confusion. One word may mean several different things. And several words may mean the same. Some of our statements and clichés Are contradictory as well. Such as; Time is of the essence and Patience is a virtue. One tells us to hurry for time is short. The other tells us to slow down and wait So what do we do? Hurry up slow down and wait or do we simply ignore what's been said. They say ignorance is bliss but knowledge is power Are we to become so smart that we end up stupid. These are questions I have, I could go on forever but, no one lives forever. So I guess I'll stop here because life is too short.

This is fun, and so true! Languages have so many contradictions, whenever it suits someone gives a saying a twist so it fits better :)
