Think About It
When we have exhausted all other sources, to whom do we turn?
To the one who it seems is always there, yet we never learn!
When all hope is gone and life seems to be more than we can bear,
Only then do some of us ask for forgiveness and humble ourselves in prayer!
Why do we allow ourselves to feel abandoned and all alone?
When we know in our hearts, He has never left us, but we are the ones who need to atone!
I have a picture in my mind I would like to share,
I see a man standing with arms wide open, beckoning His children to come, and not to despair.
I see love oozing out of every pore, and understanding He will give you if you’ll only open your door,
I see hurt and anguish in His eyes when we turn away, similar to the pain He suffered once before!
There will always be scoffers and nonbelievers and for those we must always pray,
That someday something will open their eyes to the truth and show them the way.
It is kind of like going to the recruiting office, one door offers good the other one bad,
Like choosing whether to be happy or grumpy and sad.
So live your life for Jesus and think about why He died for you,
So you could have salvation and be forgiven for the things you do!
