First day of spring 2024...March 19 at 11:06 P.M. following. 

thin ice in birdbath biting wind cuts to the bone.... sun's up first spring day

After winter, seeing the bright rays of the sun and welcoming the first day of spring is indeed a joy. Beautiful haiku.

A great haiku dear Sara. Love the creative words you’ve artistically used here to describe a chilly scene. You’ve captured your first day of spring very poetically. We’ve had lots of rain of late but some sunny days as well :) Have a great weekend x

Kim, it has warmed up this afternoon inside my home, but the computer thermometer says it is 47 degrees outside. I haven't been outside except to let the dog out and call her to stop rolling in something. LOL..Sara K
