They'll Know My Name
From unknown roots I sprung,
No knowledge of my birth came.
But one day soon I'll tell the tale,
Of my true origins I'll unveil.
Mama, Papa, they'll know my name,
And change their thoughts, from whence I came.
Though it may take some time to learn,
My truth will be, a lesson to turn.
From this small seed will grow a tree,
And tell my story, for all to see.
A verse of verse, so sweet to sing,
The song of life, my story to bring.
The future's path, we cannot see,
But when tomorrow comes, we'll be,
Glad for what we've done before,
And ready for what's in store.
One day at a time, we'll press on,
Enjoying each moment, till it's gone.
With eyes on the future, mind at rest,
Embracing all life has to test.
