This poem is well written, presenting an original viewpoint of a woman experiencing a flood of emotions, while reviewing her self-worth through the eyes of others. An outpouring of emotions that surges up from the heart, and splashes against the page in quiet defiance. Emile. "the(y) see the worth in me"?

Good Evening Eileen. Oh the thought of it all. We all see and hear different things. Sometimes right Sometimes wrong. This entry was quiet yet expressive. Nice work and well done.

Wonderful insights with simple words rich in meaning. The line: "they love the all of me" is beautiful...isn't that what we all wish for and deserve. We are not 'parts' to be judged, we are whole and.. 'human'. A friend once told me 'for every finger pointed at another, there are three pointing at oneself.' I guess the 'thumb' is a 'free spirit'..lol Terrific writing:) lynnxxx

The main point here is that we need not see everything shiny, but anyone who sees nothing good and criticizes everything needs avoiding/ignoring; it's not worth putting up with the stress!! I would not want to be in his shoes and drown in negativity. Hugs // paul

Such a wonderful but sad and heartbreaking poem...sort of. There are those who can see the good in a person and that is usually because they look for the good. The villain in this poem only sees the bad because, in my opinion, they feel it makes their light shine brighter. They put one down to lift them up. Nicely done Eileen.
