They All Wanted Jail

Five older women confessed to the hit and run.
None had damage on their cars.
They were irritated that no one believed them.
I am a murderer one screamed
As they were escorted out by police officers.

Good try, her friend said.
I tried that last week.
It is kind of sad
When five older ladies are eating cat food
While convicted prisoners get three square meals a day.

I like the unexpected turn at the end - it is shameful that so many seniors don't get the care they deserve.

It truly is a travesty of injustice.
