These Words I Write
In these words I seek God's
Guidance to write
I pray for many within it will cause a fight
That maybe you are tired
Of stumbling on your own path in the night
Perhaps you do not like to attend church
Maybe because of all the division
Of the churches and within them
Many years ago I was on the Mississippi river
On a barge boat when the Lord changed me
Jesus will come to you where you are
To dwell within that you might have peace
One may already be ready to hate
For I seek to only help your fate
Jesus did not come to comdem this world
He came to give division from flesh
That one might be born of the spirit
Each one of us needs this rebirth
Unless you are fine with this earth
God does not dwell within others to please man
But to bring light to the darkness
And to show His love to all
He puts His will inside one
That they might be a vessel
To help snatch one from death
Before they escape there last breath
This world hated Jesus without cause
Because through love He showed there flaws
For many I pray it will bring comfort
For many times we feel like we are alone
But broad is the highway to death
Few is the way on the narrow path
God's fire within will give you strength
Your eyes have received new vision
You will tune out the outside noise
For your guidance comes from within
And the words of life He left us
To help one understand what
This greatness is He has placed within
To the closed eye His words are foolish
But to the open eye and mind
They reveal the mystery of the truth and life
