These Mashed Potatoes Are Bleeding

“These mashed potatoes are bleeding,” the six-year old said. I looked at them, curiously. A white mound with a bit of yellow. No gravy or ketchup. A curious observation, I thiought, pondering it. “Just go with it, Grandma,” her nine-year-old sister told me. So I did.
