These Lips

Lips are for talking

Loving

Biting, kissing

But why do I use mine for hurting?

I let the words flow from my lips as if there's not a tongue in my mouth

Knowing not that I have hurt you and suddenly we're playing catch-up

I fear the loss of a love that's still new

My voice speaks only half of what I want to say, I don't think I'm enough

Please ignore me, for I don't know what I tell you

I'm so Bewitched by the way your lips curl up in a smile

I become an empty shell, thoughtless and a fool

You're becoming my whole world, I want to use these lips to kiss away your demons

Just please don't let them scare you
