Theres a Way Out For the Guilty

There’s A Way Out For the Guilty “46 He told them, “This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, 47 and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. 48 You are witnesses of these things.” Luke 24:46-48 NIV God’s grace is a way out of judgment For the guilty according to His law. That way out is the path to repentance; Guilt and sin no longer to encore. God is so loving and gracious, He loves all of mankind. But sin causes His separation, And its extermination a way to find. A way out for the guilty Shows God’s desire for redemption. He hates the separation, And sin that causes our exclusion. God wants us to be with Him, Not gone our separate ways. Sin causes our Father Much heart-filled pain to allay. So many have hardened hearts, No more guilt they see. Feel they have no need of God And in their sin they’re free. But there is a day of judgment. God’s grace He did provide, So that unlike Adam and Eve, From our Creator we need not hide. There’s A Way Out For the Guilty, And that includes us all; That way is through the Father And upon His mercy call. His grace covers His judgment, When for forgiveness we ask. A repentant heart He adores, And in His compassionate grace we bask! Copyright © Maureen LeFanue 2012 www.maureenlefanue.com
