There's a stranger in your place

I see you, across the room
and, I know it must be you...
you have that special quality,
possessed by very few.

We've been together 
for all these years,
I've always listened...
tried to calm your fears...
but lately... 
I've noticed...with you,
something's changed

I never expected this, but, now I see...
that there's a stranger in your place.

I feel like you're an actress...
playing in a movie scene.
I can see that...
it's, your lips that are moving...
it's, just the words...I can't believe.

I can see...
you're having trouble with your mind.
so I try to...help you... all I can,
but, I can see that...
you're changing day by day...
suddenly, you treat me like a stranger.

You're right God is my strength and my stronghold, if not for constant prayer I would not be standing. Thanks again for your kind thoughts.

Silent One September 8, 2017 at 5:00 AM John, I am working with people who suffer from mental illness, and it is a challenging but rewarding job to do...This is really sad, I know a few people who suffer from alzheimers and it is such a painful thing for family and friend members.. you wrote a heart wrenching poem... You conveyed that point very well in these well written lyrics .
