Theres a New Child In Heaven
There's a new child in heaven,
singing with the angels,
floating amongst the clouds.
May their wings,
forever be your sanctuary.
May your laughter, forever echo,
through the corridors of heaven
When the sun turns cold,
may your unforgettable smile,
like the brightest of the brightest stars,
forever illuminate the night sky.
Sounds of tears, fill a silent room.
If only they could turn into ink,
expressing the void left behind,
yet there is no metaphor,
for your mother's lament
and how your father hopes,
his little boy is waiting,
to greet him at heaven's gates.
Dedicated to a young boy who died recently from an allergic reaction.
