There's a new child in heaven, singing with the angels, floating amongst the clouds. May their wings, forever be your sanctuary. May your laughter, forever echo, through the corridors of heaven When the sun turns cold, may your unforgettable smile, like the brightest of the brightest stars, forever illuminate the night sky. Sounds of tears, fill a silent room. If only they could turn into ink, expressing the void left behind, yet there is no metaphor, for your mother's lament and how your father hopes, his little boy is waiting, to greet him at heaven's gates. Dedicated to a young boy who died recently from an allergic reaction. Silent One Simple Musing 22 January 2019

Just thought of reading this poem as I read the title S1. So sad and moving, though this is not a recent one, feeling so sorry for the parents' loss of the young boy, irreplaceable. Loved the third stanza. God bless. God bless ~ Ani

Hello, I loved this poem. It reminded me of one I wrote many years ago when a couple I knew lost their infant child. I just posted it for you, it's called God's Angel. I hope you like it. Thank you for commenting on my poem The Autopsy I appreciate it.

A heart-rending poem S.O. I lost my first child 5 days after he was born but God in his mercy granted me the gift of another child 2 years later - a healthy beautiful bouncing boy (who is now in his early thirties) married and with a very successful business - I praise God daily! A very sad, moving poem written with compassion and love. Poetry hugs, Jennifer.

Beautiful and yet so sad, S-1. The loss of a child is never easy to cope with. I read earlier of the Spanish toddler who fell down the narrow well, and who has finally been found dead...a terrible tragic end! Regards // paul

A touching and lovely poem. It is so sad and very hard to lose a child. They grow inside you with love like a weed that cannot be plucked. Great dedication to him. Hugs Eve

Hi Silent, this is such a beautiful write my friend. It caresses the heart with such tenderness. Soppy is off again. It's hard to read such sadness and not cry a tear. The things that happen in life, that truly touch the soul. Your expressions sing into the soul. Once again you open my well of emotions. Such a beautiful tribute my friend. Have a wonderful wednesday. Your friend always....Mike.

You wrote uplifting words that will hopefully bring some comfort to the parents of this little boy. There must be a special place in heaven where souls like his congregate and you described the way angels embrace him so beautifully, Silent One. A wonderful poem of hope! Best wishes, Carolyn

Your words are beautiful, marking a time none of us can fathom, even those who have been through it, cannot fathom it for others, as every loss is so completely different, even for the parents.

Poetry the greatest expression of the heart and especially at times of grieving. I can relate on a couple points. My dear sweet 15 year old cousin died from a peanut allergy. Her family has never been the same. Also, a five year old girl, who as her coffin was closed and taken out back door, her brother was holding mom’s hand and reaching with the other for his sister. The cries of joy in heaven will be great. Sorry for your loss.

How heart wrenching it must have be to see that little girl's brother reach out that way.
