There's a Fly In My Poetry Soup

...Have another free joke:
One that isn't good enough
For my personal collection...

Q: "How many Polacks does it take to tie my shoes?

A: "What! Jingoist Scum!"

My grandmother was Polish
And I find this joke to be highly tasteless
-  And let's be honest:
I'd rather have someone like you tie my shoes!
This is why
I'm offering to you,
the job;
Rather,
The honor to tie my shoes...
...I pay primarily in warm milk duds,
which I've kept tucked away in my pants pockets
Ever since the day,
I first found out!
That I do in fact
Have pockets:
You should check;
Because it may be true
That even someone like you
Has got a few pockets too...
So, any takers?

Some of the most intense moments of life are when we find ourselves in such surprising circumstances that we do things we'd never thought ourselves possible of. Who knows - a mouthful of Milk Duds - there are times when that'd be looking awfully good.
