There Will Be an End
There will be an end to the universe,
the galaxies and the stars,
less grandiose will be the end of you and me,
although I like to think our love was written
in the music of the spheres,
a fate accompli, as it were,
except Latin is the same as Greek to me,
and you are certainly a puzzle
I have failed to decipher,
an enigma of space and time and future past~
the repeating patterns of living and of passionate reprieves.
