There Was Born Only One Perfect Human

To write in a 'poem' that one is perfect and worse yet, made that way by God is to be guilty of arrogant disrespect when it's yourself you praise and laud. A humble person, who is mild and meek would never pen something so absurd and risk insulting God... His anger pique. Such a person belongs in a swineherd. It was only Jesus Christ, born of Mary, God's begotten Son, the only perfect human. Of one who contradicts that, be wary. Such a person lacks humility and acumen.

Jenna, I appreciate how you highlighted the perfect life of Jesus in contrast to everybody else being less than perfect. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. At least we have the hope of being made perfect after our life on earth is over. Well crafted poetry, as always. A very belated congrats on your POTD, my friend.

Looking at the lighter side of Perfection for a moment, here's a little anecdote: Son: Aw, Mom, do I have to practice the violin today?! It's gorgeous outside. Mom: Now, Jacob, you know that 'Practice makes Perfect!' Son: But who wants to be 'perfect,' Mom?!... Congrats on POTD, Jenna. Smiles, Gershon

Thanks for the congrats, Gershon. There will be no perfect humans born to man until God keeps His promise of restoring the Earth and mankind to perfection. That's something worth living forever.

Great piece Jenna proclaiming the truth and congrats on being POTD, well done! Jesus alone is perfect for as the scripture says all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. God bless you, Gordon

I believe our imperfections are the reason we are here to learn and grow. Though we are all perfect in the eyes of God and maybe what they meant? I haven’t seen what you are referring to. Humility is the first step toward seeking a closer connection with God no matter what religion a person belongs to IMHO. I understand where you are coming from. Congratulations on your POTD honor. Blessings xxoo

I wrote this in reference to a poem posted yesterday by one who believes she is perfect. God cherishes a humble heart, not one who already thinks she is perfect. We all have flaws. Thanks for your kind comments, Connie.

No, Joseph. I wrote it in response to a certain poetess who penned a line in her poem yesterday which stated that she was perfect and that God made her that way. Thanks for the congrats.

Congratulations on POTD Jenna! I’m a panpsychist with buddhist and pagan leanings but Jesus built my moral code. Your poem for me highlights the difference between being perfectly human and being a perfect human being, something we should all aspire to, regardless of the path. xomo

Thanks, Mark, and whether or not the person it was aimed at read it, I still felt the need to state that no human is perfect.

One who judges him/herself as perfection only proves how imperfect they really are (lol). Great write, Jenna. Congrats on POTD. Hugs Charlie

What do they mean Jenna, we're all born Imperfect, like everyone else on this planet, anyone that thinks themselves perfect is getting into dangerous solipsistic territory, cheers David

Only a person who is self-centered would write such drivel, David. Thank you for realizing the truth; that we are all imperfect beings.

Thank you for your comments, Jo. However, I do not believe that Jesus and God are one and the same. If that were true, why would Jesus say he'd be seated at the right hand of his father? That would mean he could sit next to himself. Also, he'd not have asked himself in the Book of Matthew, "My God, why have you forsaken me?" The Trinity Doctrine is something I don't hold as truth.
