There Was a Man
There was a man
So good and kind
He awoke in her
A light inside
That had been locked
And shut so tight
It glimmered with hope
And a wondrous love
A passion that grew
With every soft touch
The kiss that spoke
Of a blissful journey
Slowly the wall came down
The shell began to crumble
The fear was fading
The light grew stronger
The bodies entangled
Their eyes held their souls
Was it possible to love again?
To unlock the chains
That held her back
To push the memories
To a far away place
To be free and at peace and one again
