There Was a Black Cat In Miami

There was a Black Cat in Miami

There was a Black Cat in Miami
Whose owners were told he’s Siami
But he’s just a Black Cat
Nothing special about that
Disappointed those folks of Miami

Not only is this another FAV for me, Kevin, but for the first time I "get" the lyric of a limerick. I have figured this out in syllable song form, and am going to use it to try and write my own. I had tried one or two before, but I never fully understood the "beat", so this is my good example.

My poetry began with limerick writing as a child, I have always found they come quite naturally to me, not saying they always work though, Edward Lear is my inspiration xx
