There Is No Key

Emptiness fills me. I pretend to feel alive. They chose not to see. Smiles are but false hope. tears are shed behind the mask. But no one will know. It has been so long since I have felt as if I care. I don't remember. I have closed the door. I hide even from myself. There is no way out. Pills in a bottle won't turn the key in the lock They just can't find "Me".
