There Is Another Skywalker

“There is…another…Skywalker”
Though she’s not a Jedi Knight
The force is strong in her
She fights darkness with the light

A woman unafraid of danger
Princess Leia is her name
The kingdom is at stake
She’s out to win this game

She has wit, charm and beauty
A treat for Jabba the Hut
She kills that slimy sick beast
Will not sink down into smut

She wins the heart of Solo
Handsome rebel on the run
He brings to life her feelings
For his smile rivals the sun

She fears her evil father
But her brother knows how to save
For he is a Jedi knight
The force in him makes him brave

Star Wars is NOT a movie
That you view on some grand screen
It is not merely fiction
Thought up in someone’s daydream

There IS a mighty battle
That is fought out every day
The good tries to win the fight
The bad tries to have full sway

The “FORCE” is ever present
To give strength to overcome
Sure victory is in sight
Won by the only true SON

We all can be Skywalkers
Every day we can decide
To join forces with the good
And to shun the evil side

So, be brave and strong of heart
The saber is yours today
Go in with a rebel yell
FIGHT in the galactic play!

:) Thanks Marquis, the religious twist might not be my winning ticket, but....I do believe that Star Wars is a portrayal of the great controversy between good and evil portrayed in the Bible...The saber? The Bible mentions the sword of truth....the discernment that a Jedi Knight has...the awakening of the Holy Spirit speaking to the soul. The Emperor...a fallen being...Satan....So so much in there...Oh well. Thanks for the good wishes! :)

This is fabulous. Love the way you compare Star Wars to the battles we face in real life. A winner for sure :)

Minx...why not? I like any title you give me, Richard...EXCEPT MORBID ORCHID. Use that one and I will pretend I NEVER knew you! ;) You have a lot of explaining to do, Mr Seal...Disappearing for such a LONG time...Hmmmmmmmmm...Yes, I am pulling your ear. Be good!

Nerd poetry. There needs to be more of this. The nerd in me bows to the message here. The force is strong with this one. Well done, my Jedi!!! =D

Honestly, rip off of the bible or not, it doesn't matter to me. I watched it because it took me to another place & I loved it there, which is all I care about in a movie. Perception is a funny thing. For me, this is nerd poetry because of the topic matter (Star Wars! Need I say more?!). :) For you, it goes way deeper. And that's totally good too! If you only saw Return of the Jedi, you're doing a disservice by not watching the other 2. Empire Strikes Back is the best of the 3, personally.

BY THE WAY??? Don't tell anyone, but the whole story is really a rip off of the Bible...Hmmmmm...the basic plot. The FORCE? Seriously? You mean the Holy Spirit? OK...I know I'm going to get grilled for this comment, but it's true!!! The great controversy between good and evil...Ok, I can be a nerd too...but not for sci fi! Sorry to burst that bubble! Educate me!

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA! A HA HA HA HA HA HA HA! NERD POETRY?????? WHAT? Oh Drake!!! I'm laughing out loud here in my room! O OK....the idea came while I was hanging laundry! I have only REALLY watched RETURN OF THE JEDI! BUT BUT BUT....IT BLEW ME AWAY! We watched it MANY times! Was in the States then! That line from YODA! The MYSTERY, I hope the force will see it through to the end!
